What We Believe
We believe that God is a good and loving Father who created us for His good pleasure and joy. He is compassionate, slow to anger, rich in mercy, and abounding in grace. His Kingdom is within reach, and it is ever advancing. The darkness cannot hide His light and goodness.
We believe that Jesus is the perfect representation of the Father. When we look at the life, ministry, miracles, and sacrifice of Jesus, we see the goodness and love of the Father who desires wholeness for His people.
We believe the only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ and that we are to live a righteous life, not taking His gift for granted.
We believe that we get to partake in the victory of Jesus, that He is the Victorious one who freed us from the power of sin and death, and adopted us into His glorious Kingdom. He gave us the way to reconciliation and restoration. By grace we were saved, and now we are royal priests, a holy nation, the righteousness of God.
We believe that God created all people and He loves them with the same equal love that led Jesus to give His life freely. Life is valuable at all stages, and Jesus’s death made all equal. He values us, and we are to value others.
We believe that because we received such marvelous grace, it is our honor and duty to share the same grace with others. Forgive freely, just as we have been forgiven. We are also responsible for our behavior and relationships. We are called to be free yet accountable people, ones who are looked on as dependable.
We believe in sharing the testimonies of what God has done, both through scripture and through our own lives. This also keeps our focus on Him and what He is doing, not the tactics of the enemy.
We believe the weapons of our warfare are mighty and powerful, and we have been given authority to take down strongholds and every lofty thing that tries to exalt itself above God.
We believe that the Word of God is alive and active, sharper than any sword. We believe that the knowledge of His written Word is a powerful, life-changing force and that believers can and should have a direct relationship with the Father, hearing His spoken word too. The Bible is the infallible Word of God, and by it we judge all other words and prophecies.
We believe that we are to be a generous people, not holding even our lives at such high value that we would not lay it down for another. Generosity should flow through every aspect of our lives and reveal that our identity is not here, but in the Kingdom.
We believe that God is still active in the lives of people today. The Holy Spirit still fills us, guides us, comforts us, intercedes on our behalf, counsels, encourages, and helps us in all of our needs and weaknesses. Through this, God still heals and delivers, and further, He commanded His followers to go out and do the same.
We believe that there is great hope for the church, the Body of Christ. We believe that Christ is coming back for His beautiful bride and He desires to see her unified in their love for Him.
Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE...
There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, kind, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent - one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the inspired, only infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
Humankind was created in the image of God to know and love Him, yet man willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world, and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin.
The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God's Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to begin God's Kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today, in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is "true God" and "true man.”
God's grace saves us through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, and that faith causes the faithful to do good works. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God and saved through repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.
In the present and ongoing supernatural, sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life and minister supernaturally. The Holy Spirit is poured out on believers so that they might have God's power to be His witnesses.
The victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy, sin, lies, sickness, and torment.
The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave his church the ordinances of Baptism and Communion. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and obeying the good news of God's love, discipling the nations, baptizing and teaching them to obey God.
In the ever-increasing government of God and in the Blessed Hope, which is the glorious visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign with His overcoming bride - the church.
God has called, commissioned, and equipped the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, which are given to the Church.
Heaven and hell are real places. There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to eternal death.
